Building Custom Swimming Pools
Since 1998
Backyard Amenities is a custom, gunite in-ground swimming pool builder designing and constructing luxury pools and spas in the greater Houston area. We are a family-owned and operated company specializing in devoted customer service and complete customer satisfaction. Brad and Patty Stephens, who founded the company in 1998, are hands-on owners, supervising every step of the pool construction process from the first sales meeting to the first swim. Customers always have access to the owner of the company!
The Backyard Amenities pool construction process starts when one of our representatives meets with the homeowners to discuss the project and assess their wants and needs. We will then complete the design and preliminary drawings and a proposal is drawn up. Once the design and proposal are approved, a contract is finalized, permitting and approvals have been obtained, construction can begin.

Backyard Amenities was honored with the prestigious AQUA 100 award for an outstanding five years in a row, leading the company to be inducted into the AQUA 100 Hall of Fame a mere six years after its inception. Our dedication to excellence has been recognized with several acknowledgments, such as being named a Top 50 Pool Builder by Pool and Spa News on multiple occasions, including achieving a position in the Top 5 for Customer Service. Furthermore, we are proud recipients of eight Carecraft Design of Excellence Awards, two esteemed Better Business Bureau Gold Torch awards, as well as the distinguished Lee College Small Business of the Year-Monument award.

Backyard Amenities is a small family-owned company founded by Brad and Patty Stephens in 1998. With years of experience in the pool industry under his belt, Brad had already envisioned ways to innovate and excel if given the opportunity to run his own business.
When the chance finally came, his dedication and fresh ideas propelled Backyard Amenities to swift success. In just six years, the company emerged as one of the leading pool builders in Houston, earning the highly esteemed AQUA 100 Hall of Fame award.
